Convince me to buy Terraria

I have never played minecraft or terraria types of games, but I enjoy FPS alot. Lately I have been hearing Terraria name countless of time, and I am open to try new genre like Terraria. From someone who never played this kind of games, why should I buy it? I really want to play it, but I am not convince I will enjoy it? I dont play pvp, will I be able to enjoy this game solo?

Yeah sure, I've played 200+ hours of it, it's a good game, low requirements, easy to come together with others, and because of the way the stats work, you can pretty much always upgrade, and change what you are. There is a ton of content, and the content is always being updated, they recently added a new game mode, and during Halloween and Christmas there are special events. The developers have strived to make it perfect, 24/7, and remain to do so today. You'll find yourself relying on community/google alot, since it hardly has a story, sorta like a sandbox, yet there are objectives. I dunno, I ain't good at explaining things.

for the price terraria probally has the most content possible packed into one game.. you can complete the game completely solo (on expert it may take a lot of prep before you take down bosses though.) i have almost 400 hours into it and i still havent beaten the game as every class yet

I have played 900+ hours and i can tell you that it's definetly worth it to buy the game. Thousands of items for you to get, unique biomes like jungles, oceans, granite caves and even HELL that all have their own items in them that you can find, some extremely hard to get which offers alot of gametime on it's own, a good amount of bosses that can be really rewarding to beat, building is easy and hard at the same time with ALOT of furniture sets and blocks to build with, alot of weapons that vary from swords to sniper rifles and laser cannons! There are also events and different modes like expert mode that's more challenging (But also rewarding!) than the original normal mode, NPCs that you can make houses for.... Terraria really has alot of things to offer and there are alot more things in the game that i didn't mention but that's all for you to explore :)

Oh! And also, mods! If you're bored of playing the vanilla Terraria you can always download Tmodloader and try more than 100 mods that add ALOT of content.

heh, I've played it since it came out (THANKS STEAM FOR REMOVING MY GAME TIME YOU ♥♥♥♥♥♥ JACKASSES) And i still love it today, Nothing get's boring in the game for me :D

Yeah i got the game the other day and i already have 67 hours on it lol. Terraria is an.... unique game. I feel like you have to have patience, determination and a sense of adventure to play it. Theres sooooooo much content packed into this one little game so theres so much you can do! You were saying you like FPSs? Theres literally a gunmaker who can move in with you! What i love in this game is you can play it how you want, lets say you were about to take down Skeletron, the skeleton guardian who protects the dungeon. If you wanted you could be a sword wielding armored up monster or you could blast it to pieces as a badass gunslinger! This game is unique and NOTHING like minecraft!!! The only thing they have in common is that... no nevermind. I was gonna say that the only thing they have in common is that is all cubes in the game, but its not. With hammers you can make beutiful and realistic building and stuff! I frickin made on one world unique houses for npcs and let them live there peacefully and then in another world i was a corporate monster and forced them into tiny efficient appartment blocks that they had to pay heavy tax for! This game is amazing in the way that the only objective really is just to beat the bosses and what i love is that you can go about that any way you want. Whether it be a fair fight or setting up an arena filled with traps and defences around you foe you can basically just play to YOUR strengths and YOUR gamestyle.

Ok that my rant over im gonna go lie down for a while, my fingers are aching! xD
