Help with Teleporters

Hey all, I've recently been delving in teleportation and im trying to build a telporter from my home base to the underworld, ive connected the wires correctly and ive placed switches but when i go to activate it i go nowhere :/ is there a limit on how far u can teleport? im on a medium world

Mm, I think there is no limit- I think.

Is there a wire connecting one switch and two teleporters? IIRC it needs to go through the centre block of the teleporter.

yea ive got the switches connected. ive got other teleporters working perfectly but just not this one :/ ill try re-postioning the wire and c wat happens.

Try placing teleporters mid-way & all the way through the route (but break the wire just after your new teleporter). That way, you'll be able to find where the fault is - whether it's a limit or a break.

It should be as simple as switches and the two pads all on the same wire... but I don't think I have created a line longer than 2000 blocks...

do certain color wires have any effect on the teleporter? just out of curiosity

yea thats wat ive done others and theyve worked fine

Each wire serves as a seperate network, so you can use a single telepad as a hub by using many colors.

Edit: other than that, there is nothing special about the individual colors themselves.

hmmm ok then. cause im using a purple wire for hell and i tried just teleporting 100 blocks and i still get the same thing of teleporting but staying in the same spot :/

That sounds like what equates to a blue and red wire, so you are probably getting teleported twice-per activation (once to ond once back from the other pad).

Problem solved. All fixed ( there is no limit to wire confirmed aswell)

You can have 3 different locations setup from one teleporter btw. I like having mine go left and right across the world and down or up at certain places. I have a teleporter from jungle surface to the temple no problem.
