I would replace that Magma Stone with something like the Star Veil or maybe an emblem, or even a yoyo bag if you plan to use the Kraken.
You are not restricted to, but I would focus on one class at your stage.
It is possible to beat Golem with the Chlorophyte Armor, but you can take the Turtle armor, so you can tank more of his attacks. But if you want to deal more damage, you should keep the Chlorophyte armor.

You can't get Beetle Armor until after Golem, so that's out of the question. I've never really used Chlorophyte or Turtle Armor, so I can't really comment on those. On normal mode I beat Golem with Hallowed, but on expert... I can't remember what I used on expert.

I do know that I eventually used Shroomite + Piranha Gun for farming, two bad tastes that taste great together, since the stealth bonus applies to the entire attack so long as you are in stealth during the initial firing.

I'll second replacing the Magma Stone. It likely won't do nearly as much as an emblem. If you want to remain multiclass, you could get an Avenger Emblem instead of a normal one.
