Is the starfury good for WoF?

I know it might not be very good because it is roof on top of me, i know it can shoot through walls, but i think throwing weapons are better for wof, like the demon scythe and other magic books, my friend has one but i don't, also my starfury is also demonic so it does 26 melee damage.

Is your starfury consistently getting through the hell ceiling? Even if it is, you may want to rather pick something with more dps and piercing, like one of the spellbooks or a bow with jester arrows. The reason the piercing is so important is because WoF has hungries that will block most non-piercing shots.
And don't try to kill the WoF with a yo-yo, especially on expert mode. I've tried.

no it does not go consistently through the hell ceiling.

what other books are there? i know one which is Demon Scythe and then there is another one i dont know the name of, i know molotov cocktail is also a fast way to kill him

or the bee gun, xD i have one and it just murdurs they eye of cthulu(untill he clips into walls and stuff) bee gun i feel is good for enemys that move allot, cuz they act like homing misiles

Starfury is a great weapon. Just not really for the Wall of Flesh. Too many targets.

I recommend Waterbolt, Beenades, Hellwing Bow, anything that can pierce with good damage.

If you have the time and patience, the Star Cannon is the best weapon by far. But the ammo is pretty annoying to get, unless you set up some sort of skybridge...

Make sure you are using good ammo for your weapons, and buff yourself with potions.
If you haven't made a bridge over the Underworld for the fight, make sure you have Waterwalking/Featherfall potions or a pair of Lava Waders and Lightning Boots. In expert mode, he's real fast. Need the mobility.
