Good beginner armor?

Im at the beggining of the game I got golden sword and gold bow, what should my armor be made out off?

Uhh... Wood is a good start, if you have nothing.

The next best thing to get would be Silver/Tungsten and Gold/Platinum armor. Honestly, don't bother with the the other four if you need armor.

You can take down either the Eater of Worlds or the Brain of Cthulhu and get some Shadow/Crimtane armor. Both of those are great.

If you are brave enough to venture into the jungle, get a bunch of materials and you can get a
set of Magic armor.
Meteorite is also a choice, and technically easier to get than Shadow/Crimtane. However I generally avoid Meteorite due to it being pretty overpowered.

You also have the choice of farming in Jungle/Corruption for Ancient Armor. Despite being dangerous, very useful to get.

Shadow/Crimson Armor.

For Shadow Armor:
Go to the Corruption, build an arena out of wood platforms in the air, but make sure you are still in the Corruption biome. Build it over a chasm that leads into one of the large caves in the Corruption. Place ropes down until you reach the bottom, and make sure you can climb up the ropes quickly to reach your arena.

Go down to the large cave and smash two Shadow Orbs, and make sure the third one you smash is relatively close to your rope so you can get to your arena quickly. Purchase a stack of Grenades.

Once you smash the third, go up the rope as fast as you can and start tossing Grenades at the boss, and you'll kill it with ease, even with wood armor. Once it's dead, collect all the Demonite Ore and Shadow Scales it drops, then craft a set of Shadow Armor and a Nightmare Pickaxe.

For Crimson Armor:
Go into one of the large caves and build a large layered arena inside of it. Smash 3 orbs and run to your arena as fast as you can. Use a Boomstick (found in jungle) combined with Meteor Bullets to pierce the Creepers. Don't target the boss itself, just fire at the Creepers around it. Once all Creepers are dead, switch to Musket Balls so you can get multiple hits on the boss in one hit. Just keep firing at the boss. Once it's dead, pick up all the Crimtane ore and Tissue Samples, then craft Crimson Armor. If you don't have access to a Boomstick, use Grenades.

You make armor the same way you made those golden weapons.
Mine for the corresponding materials, then craft them.

if you get the dryad pumpkin armor might be a good bet, +10% damage set bonus

That's the problem with Terraria. Too many variables to pick a "best" set.

Wood and cactus is fairly easy to get early on. Then you could mine for silver/tungsten or gold/platinum, no iron/lead, you probably will need that to make chests for a storage room. You could also just go to the jungle and get materials from enemies and jungle spores to make jungle armor. But for a first time i would not suggest that.

Make a wooden yoyo for a fairly good starter weapon then go to the ice biome, here you can find those abandoned sheds with chests for an ice sword, 17 damage, projectile which illuminates ahead of you, autoswing, you know a good early on weapon to help you out. If you do go for the jungle equipment this sword might help you out.

Gold Armor
+ Nice defense, very good
--- Outclassed by Meteor or Shadow
--- VERY boring to get a full set of. Takes ages.
--- You'll have to swap it out for something better below fairly quickly anyway

Meteor Armor
+ Not too hard to get if you go into Corruption/Crimson and smash an orb
- The hardest part is getting into the Corruption/Crimson...
+ Will last you a very long time
+++ Sodding amazing set bonus

Shadow Armor
+ A nice melee armor
Nothing too special
+ Pretty good defense
+ Easy to obtain from EoW

Crimtane Armor
+ Goes well with whatever weapons you're using
+ High defense and high survivability
- Extraordinarily difficult to get on Expert
+ Very easy to get on Normal. A Rotted Fork will keep the Brain of Cthulu away!

Pumpkin Armor
- EoC must be killed
+ Very easy to get (buy some Pumpkin Seeds)
+ Nice set bonus
- Not that long lasting and you'l have to swap it out for one of the above three
