Bomb farming with statue

If a Bomb Statue is wired to multiple timers, the statue will have a separate cooldown with each of the timers. The player can exploit this fact to produce multiple bombs every 10 seconds rather than just one. In its most effective setup, (all three colors of wire connected to three different spots on the statue), it can produce nine bombs per second, assuming a player is there to pick them up.

Been trying to replicate this with no success. Anyone ever done this before?
