Summoner-Only Queen Bee tips?

I've fought her around 4 times, and I haven't been able to kill her. I have the nurse positioned nearby for healing, and I'm launching my slime minion at her as if it were a magic weapon. The lowest I've gotten her HP to was in the 1,000s.
My current strategy is to jump between layers of wood platforms when she charges, and prioritize the bees when she's finished releasing them so my pet slime will kill them.

I have 360 HP, a ton of Mana, a Slime Staff, and Meteor Armor.

Maybe you should get the tavern keep. You can get the Flameburst tower from him.

You should try using huny (SPELLING XD) Potions and grappling hooks, she is decentally predictable but the small fighting space won't help you any. You ming find it helpful to open up the area to better your dodging.

I'm pretty sure he spawns after at least 1 boss has been defeated, meaning I have to kill a boss in order to get him. Buuuuuut I've tried fighting the Eye of Cthulhu and died instantly. Queen Bee is much easier than the Eye, but I still keep dying.

I'm fighting above-ground on a moderately sized arena, and I can predict her attacks easily, but it's when she's low on health when I die.

Do you have crimson? If so I reccomend crimson rod its considered summon. Also to get tavernkeep you have to defeat brain or eater of worlds.

I have Crimson, but I already smashed two Hearts and they didn't drop a rod. I'm on Expert mode, so I don't think I can handle the Brain, but I'll give it a shot.

EDIT: Fought the Brain. Died instantly. Definitely not ready to fight it.

get the Shield of Cthulhu. Dash into her when she dashes into you. If you time it right, you wont suffer any damage, while also dealing some damage. Unless you won't use it because it says "melee" on it... but it is an accesory...

I can't even kill the Eye of Cthulhu. It takes all night just to get him down to a quarter of his HP.

Try and find a Flare Gun. You can kinda exploit the game since the Flare Gun does just 2 DAMAGE, it doesn't specify what damage so you could technically use.

It's basically a torch so what i do is hold shift (auto-select)to fire and do constant flame damage

Pretty sure it's RANGED damage.

Nope it technically isn't but yeah it is lol. Strangely only the actual Flares are Ranged Damage...

The flaregun it self does no damage from what i remember, havnt touched it in a while.

Nope Flare gun does 2 damage. the flares do 1 so it adds up to three damage in all

You can get it pre-BoC/EoW.
