ranger best class?
This is a seriously meant question:
For me it feels like Ranger is the best class for a full class walkthrough
He might fall of a little post golem and post moonlord but before that there seem to be very few things which can rival him
Is this just subjective or is a full ranger run realy the easyest class walkthrough of all the classes?

Idk. It depends on your skills. To me, Mage is the easiest.

Rangers definitely have it the easiest out of everyone. As to which sub-class, I think that archers are the most op.

I would say that rangers require ammo, and if they run out, they're pretty much useless, but I'm pretty much useless without mana potions :P

True, but wooden arrows--used to craft almost every other arrow--are VERY cheap and easy to get (one stone + one wood, dropped from zombies, bought from the Merchant for 5 copper coins, or bought from the Skeleton Merchant for 50 copper).

Explain to me how Melee and Mage have a harder time maintaining DPS or surviving than a Ranger. You at least need decent kiting skills and ammo as a Ranger; Melee has enough defense to facetank the majority of the game and has nonsense projectiles coupled with flasks, and Nebula Boosters turn Mage into an invincible spamfest of OP nonsense.
Summoner definitely has the hardest time out of any of the classes, but Ranger isn't exactly sitting on infinite stacks of (good) ammo either.

Any good weapon will turn a mage into a spamfest of OP nonsense. All the weapons are different though, so it requires quick learning and strategy to defeat stuff. The weapons are OP as heck though, the Arcanum with the spectre damage set can get over 1800 DPS.

Doesn't the skeleton merchant sell bone arrows, not wooden arrows? Also, the infinite quiver and infinite bullet pouch negate the need for regular ammo, so that's not too important.

1800 DPS is nothing; Nebula Armor with the Damage Boosters can bring even mid tier weapons to 5000+ DPS for absolutely no tradeoff. It doesn't require "quick learning" or "strategy"; you just find a decent damage weapon with a relatively low mana cost, hold m1, and fly around collecting Boosters.

I'm talking about pre-Moon Lord gear. Not all mage armor gives those awesome boosts. :P
EDIT: And to utilize magic weapons to their full potential, yes. It requires strategy. Mostly against bosses, though. and it does requires a bit of quick thinking (if fighting without autopause). Trust me, the first (and just about only) class I've played is Magic.

Oh yeah.. I almost forgot. Mages require all the dodging! XD

Even pre-Moon Lord, Mage and Melee has it seriously easy; both beetle chestplates provide amazing buffs depending on how you play, and the Spectre hoods either make you nearly unkillable (much like Nebula except with a small damage penalty), or you get autotracking projectiles for no penalties. Meanwhile, summoner has to work with horrible defense, and Range doesn't get to use its armor ability unless it stands still, which is a death sentence without a proper setup.
Mage is easily the most overpowered and mindless class in this game throughout most of the game; it doesn't require thinking or strategy in the slightest. You're very deluded if you think flying in circles counts as a noteworthy strategy.

Well, then the way I play is really, really, REALLY weird, as I actually come up with strategies against the bosses after a few deaths.
Lunatic Cultist: Shoot in general direction with laser machinegun or nebula blaze. That one's easy.
Martian Saucer: Fly above it while it's doing its laser attack, and attack with the inferno fork. When doing laser or rocket attack, heal using the nurse. When it transfers into its second stage, run along a track with the unicorn mount, shooting it with the Spectre Staff.
see? I actually make strategies, instead of doing the much easier and simpler thing. XD

How are you dying to the Lunatic Cultist with the Nebula Blaze and still using the Inferno Fork at the stage of the game you're at? You'd have to have beaten the Cultist to get the Blaze, and based on your achievements you've beaten the Moon Lord so you've almost certainly got Nebula Armor. I can't fathom how the Cultist can give you any trouble at that stage in the game to be very honest. Like, are you deliberately using weaker gear to try to show off or something?

We are talking about the overall performance
Mages are not godtier until post golem
Melee cant facetank the mechanical bosses

Post moonlord equip doesnt realy count...its pointless as theres nothing to use it against
Just a fance godmode
