Shadowflame Knife VS. Magic Dagger // Which is better?

Down to the tiniest details, which is better in terms of usefulness, obtaining, etc?

Shadowflame isn't that hard to obtain, but outclasses the magic dagger in everything except pierce. So magic dagger for multiple enemies. and shadowflaem for a few.

I have to agree with the comment above this one, however as you'd assume, it depends on what type of character you have. If you use the magic helmets or sets for example the magic dagger is useful, and if you're melee the shadowflame knife is better. However in a direct comparasion without caring about the character I do think the Shadowflame knife is better as it can hit 3 enemies and is better is almost every way besides for what was mentioned above. Even if you're a mage, the shadowflame knife may still be useful for when you just want to kill a small enemy and not waste mana for whatever reason.
