how do i increase spawn rate?

ive set up a farm... and i need as many ways to increase the amount of enemies as possible.. just any and every method possible...

Use a battle potion and a water candle. Make sure there are the least amount of NPC's near as possible.

doesnt lihzahrd blocks increase spawn rates as well?

Jungle biome (lihzahrd blocks), battle potions, water candle and blood moon all increase spawn rate. It has a cap, though, so no sense in using 3 or more ways to increase it.

Also make sure areas where enemies could spawn (little pockets of air underground) are filled up or outside of the spawn area. That's the one most people mess up with, as far as I've seen. 84 blocks left/right of player and I think 34 up/down. I usually go 100 out and 50 up/down to allow movement, hope that helps.

great answer!!! yes i heard about using lihzahrd blocks (i just call them lizard blocks lol)... how many lihzahrd blocks to i need to increase the spawn rate, say in the snow biome...

is there an exact number of how many lihzahrd blocks you need to increase the spawn rate?

The Blocks themself do nothing, the spawn rates come from the Jungle Biome they create, since they do count towards it, same as Jungle Grass & Plants

People just use those blocks because it doesn't require seeds and time as well.

if i make an artificial jungle biome in the snow biome.. will it as a result increase all types of monsters/enemies in that area (and by extension snow)...

yes, it will increase the Spawnrates in all Areas (except Dungeon)

An tip i can give you, if you wanna farm Biome Keys, it can be faster to create an flat area at the surface and summon an Solar Eclipse, since it got one of the highest spawn rates
And achso remind to pick up drops, since theres a 400 Lose item limit, after that they will just despawn

ah cool. so i can literally create a flat line along the surface and simply summon a solar eclipse.. and i have to collect the loot quickly before it disappears.. i think is what your saying... can you collect biome keys on the surface.. in fact could i do it on the surface of the snow biome?
