Frost Legion? Frost Moon?

Hey! I really want to do the Frost Moon or the Frost Legion in Terraria to get achievements and maybe some good loot.. but.. i don't want to wait until next Christmas to get presents and then get the summoning sh*t out of them.... is there someoone, who would give me a Snow Globe or a Naughty Present please? I would be so pleased :) If yes, then please add me, i can even give you some random CS:GO bad skins, or maybe cards :) Thanks for reading,feel free to add me :)

The frost moon can be done at any time of year, you just need some souls of fright, silk and ectoplasm.

I'm not sure if you already know this and I'm just preaching to the choir, but the frost moon is quite difficult for the unprepared, so you might consider getting powerful gear, and maybe even potions.

Heads-up - the Frost Legion and the Frost Moon are radically different events.

For the achievement, the Frost Legion just needs to be defeated. You can take as long as you like with this, because it's an invasion-event; heck, I could kill them with no armor and a Wooden Yoyo. Just build yourself into a box. :P

The Frost Legion is aimed at early Hardmode players & drops no loot except Banners, Coins, and Snow Blocks. If you've got Hallowed equipment you should be able to smash it.

Meanwhile, the Frost Moon... that was added in 1.2.4.1 and still is a huge challenge with 1.3 weaponry. It's time-based (it happens during night when you summon it. When dawn comes, the event ends), and as such you need high-damage weaponry to get to Wave 15.

It's almost impossible to get to Wave 20 in Singleplayer. Tactics that allow you to do this are
a) a bucketload of buffs, Phantasm + Holy Arrows, Vortex Armor in permanent stealth (difficult to dodge)
b) Last Prism, but only if you're got a well-thought-out arena

Fortunately, the achievement only requires Wave 15 which is easier to get to.

As an encore, the mobs deal stupdenously large quantities of damage & will fairly often kill you if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time.
