I decided to play on Expert. What is the recommended gear for taking on the Brain of Cthulhu and Eye of Cthulhu?
I finally decided to try to reach Hard Mode on Expert, but I keep dying and I'm horrified to think of how many times I will die when I try to fight the Brain of Cthulhu and Eye of Cthulhu. What gear would you recommend?

My current stuff:

Health and Mana:
Health: 140
Mana: I didn't check how much, but I know I have a ton.

Armor:
Cactus Helmet
Cactus Chestplate
Cactus Leggings

Weapons:
Silver Broadsword
Trident
Topaz Staff

Accessories:
Cloud in a Bottle
Hermes Boots

Misc.:
Campfire
Zombie Banner
Blue Slime Banner

build the best bow you can gold or platinum+frostburn arrows build a 400 minecart track with bumpers on ends and shoot at the eye easy win.as for the brain break 1-2 crimson hearts after you got another few life crystals and look for any meteorites landing build the meteor set with space gun.
Note the minecart track for eye works with 100 health(even 1 health if you want the braging rights) and no accesories or armor

A Crimson world might make that a bit harder.

I think that the easiest way is to get meteor set and space gun. Just destroy 1-2 crimson hearts and w8 for meteorite to land. Minecart is good idea, but you can also use gravity potion to beat eye of cthulu.

Definitely get the meteor set. It will last you all the way to defeating the destroyer. If you get the rotted fork when smashing hearts you are set, otherwise you may want to get a weapon other than the space gun against the brain, because you need some knockback.

Your gonna get rext on expert with cactus armor #1, #2 you need to make potions, quite easy but hard to get certain materials, and #3 you should fight the goblin army to get spiky balls, on expert the creepers are more vunrible and are devestating but the spike balls help to kill them with ease

I managed to get the Meteor set, Space Gun, and Rotten Fork, along with a ton of Spiked Balls from a Goblin Invasion. I tried taking on the Eye of Cthulhu and got it down to around 200 HP, but then it started doing some kind of high-pitched roar and charged at me rapidly up and down in a zig-zag pattern. I was able to last quite a bit while it was doing this, but he chased me off my dirt arena and into the Crimson, and then he killed me. I think I have enough stuff to kill it, I just didn't build my arena big enough.

Definently get at least gold armour best have 200+ health for eye, 300+ for brain. Dont use meele both bosses rely on hitting u directly mostly. I reccomend at least ruby staff if ur mage and if u are a ranger use the undertaker, platnium bow or if have a lot of patience and time u can get the molten fury which will cary u to the end of prehardmode.:steamhappy:

Thats his third stage, many expert mode bosses have them. but u have the right idea just make ur arena bigger and definenlty do what u ccan to boost your speed (hermes boots, panic necklace, swiftness pottion etc...)
I'd like to say that in Expert you need three tiers of armor up when fighting bosses.

EoC: Gold armor or better. Meteor is easier to get. 200+ health.
BoC: Molten armor. At a pinch with a good arena you can get lower. 300+ health. (Tip: Homing Bee Weaponry is incredibly good in this fight)
EoW: This boss is actually largely a joke even on Expert. Celestical Cuffs and a Vilethorn will SMASH him - when you're underground in the Corruption. Amusingly, aboveground he's harder to fight because of his Vile Spit. Still, you want Jungle Armor or better. 200+ health
QB: Molten Armor. 400 health.
WoF: Molten Armor. 400 health.

And hardmode...

Mechs: Titanium, Adamantite, or Frost. Daedulus Stormbow is your weapon of choice.
Plantera: Turtle or bust.
Golem: still a joke, just grab your Fetid Baghnakhs
Lunatic Cultist: Beetle/Shroomite/Spectre
Moon Lord: Pull out the best cheese tactic you can find.

Arenas are important but not incredibly so, as most bosses tend to spam something.

Normal, yes. Expert, no way. You can't kill WoF with Meteor.
