Can u grind Statues like Medusa Using Lava,

Is it possible to grind medusa head using lava trap and the statue?

Yes, but the drop rate is lower.

Statue enemies DO drop loot, but the new, post-1.3. ones have the drop rates lowered to 1/10 of the normal drops.

They never drop coins, however.
