Terraria Scrolling Problem

I've never used these forums before so I'm sorry if I'm doing this wrong, but I've run into a problem with Terraria that I can't figure out how to fix.

I recently bought a new mouse and when I tried to play Terraria with it yesterday the scroll wheel wouldn't work. Everything else seems to work, the cursor moves and I can pick up and drag items in my menu and I can chop trees or fight enemies by clicking the mouse, but I can't scroll though my hotbar or though my crafting menu. When I go into edit the controls it says hotbar scrolling is 'unbound' and when I try to edit it, it doesn't recognize my mouse scrolling so it doesn't change the control. I've tried turning up my mouse wheel scroll speed and deleting the config file several times, but I can't really think of anything else to do to try to fix it. Before I played yesterday it also updated a lot since i haven't played it in awhile, so I can't tell if it's an issue with my mouse or whatever new update was installed. It's too bad because the new update seemed to fix the problem I was having with it being really finicky to launch. Does anyone have any ideas?

No, I don't think so? I like modding my games, I will say, but I don't believe I've ever modded Terraria.
