Accidentally deleted items.
I just accidentally trashed lots of herbs, i apparently misclicked the chest i was going to store them in... I'm a new player and losing several stacks of herbs is not fun >.<

Any way to disable the shift+click when you're in just the character inventory?

Yes, there is. Go to My PC/Documents/My Games/Terraria and open the config.JSON file. Look for "DisableLeftShiftTrashCan" and change "false" to "true". Then save and reboot Terraria.
