Purifying the world
I have the clementor(sorry for the spelling) and I wanted to start cleaning my world up abit.

Just some questions:

1) how far does corruption/Hallow spread, does it just constantly seep into the earth, or does there need to be contact with infected earth?

2) do I need to go out of my way digging side paths to reach the hard to find seams of Hallow/corruption or does the clementator shoot far enough to reach it?

3) whats the range on the clementarot? the wiki says something like 192 blocks, but is that around the point of the player, or is that in one direction?

4) If I dedicate myself to bringing purity to my world give me a rough estimate of how long it might take?

Any answers and tips are appreciated.

Please do not offer to join my world, I appreciate the offer but I would rather not take chances on inviting trolls or griefers by chance. Door stays locked.

Edit: Good news everyone, question marks are a real thing.

Appreciate it but no. I would rather do it alone thanks.

3 hours huh, that includes digging the corruption and hallow stripes that you get after downing WoF?

Is that for small, Medium or Large(my world) worlds?

The Hallow and Corruption/Crimson spreads on any stone block, grass, sand block, sandstone, etc that is not yet inflicted. The Corruption/Crimson can also spread on Jungle Grass, but more slowly than normal, and the Hallow doesn't spread on it. Mushroom Grass and Ash Blocks are immune to the spreading effect.

You can build walls 5 space wide at all angles of any blocks, or just empty space, to prevent spread. That's the limit of its ability to spread.

any blocks that can't be corrupted etc anyway such as dungeon

1) In hardmode, the Hallow and Corruption/Crimson can spread to grass, dirt, stone, sand, and ice. As long as any of these blocks are within 2-3 blocks of a Hallowed/Corrupted/Crimsoned block, then they can be converted.

2) Yep. The Clentaminator's distance isn't infinite. Basically, you need to use it like a fire extinguisher. Spray it at the source of the biome, otherwise it'll just spread back to whichever areas you've cleared out.

3) 192 blocks doesn't seem right, it seems to be a lot shorter than that. Probably around 80 blocks. I'm not sure what you mean by, "around the point of the player or in one direction".

4) If it's a small world, then it can be doable in a reasonable amount of time. A medium or large world however, good luck. The longer you let the biomes spread, the faster they spread. Larger worlds = more blocks = faster spread. Plus, it'll be very hard to be 100% sure that you purified everything, and if you haven't, you won't notice until one of the biomes starts spreading again.

Dxpress

1) is the spread limited to there being empty space between the blocks(like corruption grass only grows on surface blocks), or can the blocks be corrupted just by being next to a corrupt block?

2) How can the source be identified? does getting rid of it slow the corruption of any remaining blocks?

3) what I mean by "around the point of the player or in one direction" is If im standing underground on a platform and I spray it in a circle around me, does that affect 192 blocks or is that if I just shoot it in one direction(if its 80 in one direction then it would be 160 blocks around the character).

4) If plantera is killed the spread is slowed to 1/3 of its original spread(wiki) With that kept in mind I should be able to stay on top of any emerging corruption.

Another question for you guys.

For a large world, give me a rough estimate of how much green solution I would need to clean the world.

Thank you for all your tips, suggestions and information :steamhappy:.

Edit: for clarity sake on number 3, I am refering to diameter not actual number of blocks affected.
