Why not a mix of both for different enemies?

Beenades:

Beenades are a throwing weapon that has not much range. when the grenade explodes on an impact or when the "BOOM" time is up it will explode into many other bees. theese bees can follow enemies, such as the chlorophyte bullet. but are innable to travel in water.

Molotovs:

The Molotov does much more damage than the Beenade. though it does not have a ability to travel after enemies, the lasting fire that spreads on an impact does good damage and inflicts the "on fire!" debuff. making the molotovs pretty strong. the wall of flesh on normal mode only needs around 70-80 molotovs to defeat it. and i think the fires are ressistant to water aswell.

so i think i would go for the molotovs because of their good damage and how they inflict a debuff.

Motolovs can be made at pretty much any point in the game, while beenades would require a character strong enough to rapidly farm the Queen Bee. Plus, you would need to get a lot of the resources to mass produce abeeminations, and it could be an inconvenience if you run out of one resource as hives are located deep in the jungle.
