Can't find Sword Shrines

as the title says . I know they are basically small but deep holes in the ground, but I never found any of these holes . Is something required, like expert or hardmode ?

They'll apparently only occur on the outer thirds of the world, near the oceans is the most "common" spot usually. Try using Jester Arrows, as the light that falls when they are shot can light up some tiles on your map.

Every world starts with them.... the larger the map the more you get. Look for 1 block wide slightly wiggly holes on the surface. Dig there and around 50 blocks down you will get into a hole with a rock. That rock has a (i believe) 90% chance to just be rubble with a rusty dagger in it and a 10% chance for it to contain a usable weapon. That weapon has a 90% chance to be an enchanted blade and a 10% chance to be the arkhalis, both are really good to get in the beginning.

I know that, generated 2 worlds, looked for them around, but nope . One small world, and one of the biggest size .

Sometimes the holes spawn a little under the ground, you can usually see a missing wall, or the light just shining underneath it. You could also use light pets, the light particles from torches, or any other weapon with some light sparks coming from it. Or just use a map checker :)

Ive used starfury and it works just as good as jesters arrows for finding sword shrines. :D
(Although Its harder to obtain)

Map checker ? Is that a website or something that finds every dungeon, and important buildings ? =_=

I dont understand, you just shoot on the ground to see if there's something deeper ?
