what to do after golem

I have been playing with friend and we beat golem. What to do next? I guess we need to do old one army and duke fishron but idk how to get higher weaps

after golem is duke fishron if youre intrested in the drops to prepare you for the lunar events

After defeating plantera the dungeon is upgraded with several unique monsters that all drop a good item. The one thing missing from there is a melee weapon. There is the Paladin hammer but it's pretty meh.

Other than that, Old one's army is great for weapons, Frost Moon event, Halloween Moon event and the Martian Invasion.

After that you have Duke Fishron and Moon Lord left

Don't listen to anyone else. After golem, duke fishron is an optional but highly reccomended boss to defeat. It's weapons are very decent for the endgame fights and the wings are the best in the game (post lunar wings don't fly fast in water). You need truffle worms in order to do this. The rest is really up to you
