Layout of the house is a bit confusing

Inside the house we see a set of stairs that lead to outside. I suppose these stairs should lead to another floor of the house (that we can't access). Also, since Waffle is looking to the left when he enters the house, I suppose it would make sense if the door behind him (i.e. the door on the right, that leads to the library) would lead outside.

Also, it is kinda strange that the secret room has a door to the bathroom. Maybe if it lead to a living room or other place.

Also, this game reminds me a lot of Darkside Detective. I suppose that game was an inspiration to this.

1) Yes, we can't access to the lowest floor, it's on purpose. It will be explain later in the game. When you go over the stairs, it's written "Outside". I understand the confusion, but it should be also clear where the stairs lead to.

2) This other door from the secret office to the bathroom has also an explanation: you can find more details on the desk in the secret office, and why there are 2 possible exits from this office.

3)No, it isn't an inspiration. When I started to make Inspector Waffles in 2016, I didn't know Darkside Detective.
