multiple save states?
my son really wants to play this game, is there a way to have multiple save states? Or is there some sort of work around for this? selecting new game overwrites it.

1. go to "%appdata%/../LocalLow/adamgryu/A Short Hike", save file is "GameSaveNew.mountain"
2. move the save to a different folder, rename it if you want a way to differentiate saves

now you can play a new save while still having the old one

3. to switch between them, move the new save to a different folder (rename if you want) and move the old save to "%appdata%/../LocalLow/adamgryu/A Short Hike"
4. if you renamed the old save, change the name back to GameSaveNew

remember to move the save back whenever you want to switch between them or before you make a new game!

I think it should have multiple save files too, without having to go through all that^.

If you make him his own Steam account and link it to yours through family sharing, he should have access to your games but his own save information. This may not work depending on how the game is set up, but everything you need to do to find out, you'll probably want to do eventually anyway.

I'm playing through a steam link so its not worth the effort to switch users and give him is own account (the kids have a switch, I have steam). I was just trying to drum up support to see if its something the dev (s?), would be willing to add. Its not the end of the world, I can always manually rename files.
