S&S 1 Plain impossible

I'm trying a lot of different stats and builds, but mostly the champions do a whole lot more damage to me then I do to them, winning seems impossible when I reach the slave boss. Are there any tips on maybe a different weapon or something? Trying to get all the achievements and wanted to start at the first game of the series.

You gotta spend on attack to inflict damage, and some on strength to make sure you can deal high damage

No you dont. Charisma some strength and spam

Just do a pure STR build and you will win for sure. Get the bosses weapons, don't waste gold on buying new ones, except for the first. Always get the best armor possible. Pretty much this, and some luck RNG and you will beat the game.

I've tried a strength spam guide and it doesn't work on slave driver. Charisma spam is the way to go I think but it gets a bit hard later on.

I put everything into strength and i pushed the opponent off the map the entire time. I had like 5 - 10 agility for movement but the rest was strength. Worked because no rng is involved. Just make sure to move towords your opponent when you know you can push him without him attacking back. If you play this strategy correctly the opponent can never attack you and you simply push him off the map and win.

I just did 50% Attack, 50% Strength, and rolled the dice.
This didn't work in "Who Wants to Be a Gladiator", but splitting my stats evenly across Attack, Strength, and Vitality did.

How did you win with a balanced stat build? Did you have to save and reload a bunch? I always wanted to win with a balanced build but it felt like the champions had such unfair advantages if fought "fairly" and randos could easily kill you if they got lucky.

I thought abusing Charisma was the only way to get a sure win, but that is such a boring build and feels like subverting the game rather than playing it

yeah, sorry, there was a bit of savescumming in both cases :/

ran into this same problem for a while... its really just a matter of brute forcing it till it works and rngsus gratns you his blessing. so you just gotta keep praying ;P

literally this, its literally ALL rng. you dont get enough gold regardless to buy a lot of armor. your only bet is never buying armor and spamming all into str and just keep trying. that 1 hit will 1 hit everything. but................................ if it doesnt, dead
