WTH is this????
I thought this game was dropped ages ago since it was stuck on the "Dreadlands Beta" and there were no more updates or infos under its discussions nor any information by the devs at all.
People were even complaining there until august that we payed for the early access of a game that was abandoned.
Now all of sudden I see that it is featured today as a extra game with its own discussion forum, recent updates and it costs money for me AGAIN!
Are you kidding me?
It was said that if we buy the beta and support we buy the game after all.
Why do I have to pay again and most of all why did they never updated their other version or dropped their entired discussion forum and opened it as a entirely new game again?
This is really uncalled for and a rip off!

Hi Dumeka

It seems there must have been some misunderstanding. I'm assuming you got it from the Yogscast bundle? It did state you only got access to the "Beta", not Early Access or the Full game.
You got access to a lot of neat games and content with that bundle, the Dreadlands Beta was just a cherry on top. Like getting a demo/beta with the purchase of a separate game or the like, which is very common.

It's unfortunate this wasn't more clearly communicated in the Humble Bundle, but it never stated you got full access to the game in Early Access or the Full version when it was released.

Thank you for sharing this with us Dumeka, we'll be sure to strive for greater clarity if we do a Humble Bundle again.

I didn't purchase any Bundle at all!
Back then when you posted your Dreadlands Beta on Steam, you were selling the Beta saying that if one purchases the Beta and supports the developer, they will get access in the early access of the game.

On the top of that you just dissappeared from there for months, didn't post any updates anymore and opened a new steam page for the early access, leaving everyone under the discussion page of the Dreadlands Beta page thinking that you just took the money and run!
They accussed you in several ways because there were no updates, no information that you will open a new page for the early access and have a new discussions page, no replies to all the posts there that kept asking what is going on! Absolutely nothing!

You could had at least posted an update there to let everyone know instead of just dissappearing entirely and opening a new page for your game.

I only found it by coincidence because it was promoted a few days ago.
Otherwise I would had still think that the game was never developed further and that you dissappeared.

You should really go back there and update the page, leave a link so people know what is going on! Leave a post under the discussion too.

Leaving everyone without any information is unprofessional.

Hi Dumeka,

There is clearly some sort of misunderstanding. I'm not sure where you bought your beta key from but we have never sold any beta keys on Steam or any other place. The Beta you are referring to was an Open Beta and anyone could download and play the Beta.

As for the Yogscast bundle last christmas we allowed those who bought the bundle to try the Beta, before we opened it to everyone.

Once the Open Beta was finished, and we moved into Early Access we closed this Open Beta Steam App.

I will make a post in the old Open Beta forums as well just to inform everyone if there is anyone else who has gotten hold of Beta keys after the Open Beta closed down. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

But I'm really interested to know where you bought this key cause someone is trying to cheat people of money by selling key codes to an Open beta which has been closed for over half a year...

Hi again!
I went through my purchases and E-Mails and it seems I had gotten the key from Intel Gaming.
However, mines was a invitation, not a purchase and I mixed it up with a earlier purchase!
There still seems to be people that got scammed under the old discussion though and it is good you posted there to clarify things for everyone!
I would suggest you to update the page with a short info that the game is in early access now and place a link to this page so people can find it easier.
It would clear missunderstandings and might even increase the purchases of your game on this site.
People are used that games in CBT or OB turn to a early access or release on the same site so leaving this site behind and opening a new one confused everyone.
Sorry for the inconvenience and my mistake but it seems to helped after all.
Now if you'll excuse me? I need to go and purchase Dreadlands now! :)
