Product Key Not Working (doesn't fit)

I haven't played this game in years, but.. I'm trying to play it now and it prompts for a product CD key, which I have from Steam, but.. the first 5 digits do not fit in the first field.

My first 5 key digits are "B7J2X" but.. it will only let me enter "B7J2". I cannot enter more than 4 characters into the first field no matter what I try, but the key first field is 5 characters. All the rest fit no problem, it's only the first key field I'm having this problem with.

Does anyone know how to fix this...?

Turns out this issue was related to running the game from Linux (Proton). But I found a fix! Just run this command:
