You will have to play from the direct game.exe cause Steam launcher is giving the data.bar issues.
You can find the game on:
Steam / Steamapps / Common / Age of Empires 3 / Bin
Just play each of the games:
AOE 3 the first game= age3.exe (with the colonial hat icon)
AOE 3 war chiefs = age3x.exe (the arrow icon )
AOE 3 Dinasty = age3y.exe (Samurai helmet icon)
Sadly the cd key will ONLY work on the first game if you wish to play without using Steam launcher.
But you can find the other 2 keys on the internet.
[ Wish I could share the keys, but you know steam stupid rules, even if it's the only bloody fix. ]
Dunno if it will work for online play, I play mostly solo but I am sure you can make an account using the Steam key and it should work even if you are using other keys to make it run cause microsoft cant fix their crap (I could be wrong on this, again I only play solo).
Please let me know if it works for you. Cause at least this worked for me.
The file was kinda weird, I copyied all the common stuff from AoE3 and then copy in the folders of W, AD. I have to even write some from zero to get it working
