Fix Age of Empires 3 Complete edition for Win 10 / Win 10 Pro x64

I see alot of people looking for a solution, but almost nobody is really giving helpfull advise, my english is not the best but i am doing my best.

Fix Age of Empires 3 Complete edition (? other editions unknown) for Win 10 / Win 10 Pro x64

Start -> Settings (weel)-> Apps -> Apps & features -> Turn Windows features on / off -> Legacy Components -> DirectPlay (Turn on and your done)

If the game does not start after the previous steps you will need to go to your steam installation folder and find the folder
steamapps -> common -> Age Of Empires 3 -> bin -> age3.exe, age3x.exe and age3y.exe

age3.exe, age3x.exe and age3y.exe, each file you need to right click with the mousebutton -> Properties -> Compatible ->
Set mode to Windows Vista (Service Pack 2), Windows 7 or indows 8 -> Turn on Administrator licence.

You are done, have fun!

On the latest windows 10 version you actually have to disable compatibility mod to launch the game.

Hi everyone!
When i do all this steps, the game run perfectly since the pc show the error: Memory System Error [Unable to allocate memory size: -1666186736] -- The aplication will now exit.
My computer works with 8 gb RAM and NVIDIA 950M.

You should choose compatibility mod: Windows 8.

Try clicking Verify Integrity of Game Files the local files tab in properties. After trying all these methods I found that was all I needed.

After Verify Integrity , found 1 file error. Uninstall the game completely, and re-download everything, re-verify integrity again, still got 1 file error... How to solve this Interity issue?

if verify integrity fails, i usually restart the pc and verify again. It should work, i have no other sulutions for you.
