New player, with or without expansion?

I bought the base game and the European Expansion. But I've never played Wingspan before. So, would you recommend that I start playing the base game only to learn the basics? Won't I be overwhelmed if I start with the expansion?

I think you'll be fine with the expansion. There really aren't any new concepts to learn. Just more cards.

In my opinion, its worth playing a few games without the expansion. But then add it in to make things different once you get comfortable.

After putting in more than 5 hours, i now will just randomly play with or without the expansion.

I'd play the base game first to familiarize yourself with the core cards and mechanics. European Expansion doesn't change THAT much but there a few niche cards and blue bird powers that may be confusing or less intuitive for a new player. Not a huge fan of EE personally but that's most of multiplayer at the moment.
