Wingspan

General concept is good, but Wyrmspan could bring competitiveness
One of the best things that exist on Wingspan which it's considered to be "unique" (in my point of view), is that you can't predict the final result of the game. You just "cook your salad" with your most creativity and liberty, and then the result appears (with all details, parameters, filters, ensurances) on screen; but ONLY at the utmost end of the match. This means a way to avoid ragequit, since a player cannot previously know if he's winning or not.

Switching to another correlated subject: the fact that the game is aesthetically "childish" (with cute, little and colorful birds); make developers very contrary to the competitive approach. But what about an alternative implementation of Wyrmspan to the digital realm? MAINLY if it was legally desagregated with Monster Crouch domain.

There's no reason for Monster Crouch to dictate about "online turn timers" (for example), if that company is just the creator of the PHYSICAL board game, but has nothing to do with DIGITAL side which should be totally free (on the realm of programmers company, not being the comercial publisher).
Even if some different programmers group has desire to start an alternative implementation of Wyrmspan, separate to M.C. company; and by the fact that this game is about DRAGONS... the competitive side should not be a problem now, because is nothing "baby" anymore.
What do you think?

P.S.: my english is not perfect and "day-by-day" trained, so tolerate any little mistakes 😉

I commited a little shame here, issuing "Monster Couch" as being "Stonemeier Games". SORRY! Just invert these names and the same logic applies.
This mean that Stonemeier should have no authority when comes to "online turn timers" subject.

ANYWAY...

I did not understand anything from the OP. I am still deciding whether this game is worth buying, I am looking for deep strategic games.

Wyrmspan is a different game than Wingspan. It doesn't have a digital implementation yet (it's just physical) and seems to be more broaded on Europe region only.
As it is a game focused on dragons (and not birds), the competitive approach (like ranked mode) couldn't be a problem.
Summary, that's all i wanted to say. But i feel little ashamed that you "updated" an old post which i wrote a lot, but there was no interaction. 🤣
