Spinning wheel of death on Mac
While attempting to go through the tutorial the game regularly freezes on my Mac. Tabbing away at any point and then returning seems to trigger it. Has anyone else seen this?

I have not fully tested this fix, so proceed with caution.

I edited by DefaultPreferences.plist file to set Fullscreen to false. This allowed the game to load for me, albeit in a tiny window, so I could change the video settings. I chose my preferred resolution and ensured to NOT choose fullscreen mode. I saved my settings and restarted the game. I've been able to play single-player since! I haven't tested it online, but it should work.

I think there's a problem in the most recent Mac build. I've not had issues over the course of over a year now and last night I was seeing the game crash on the regular. Swapped to my Steam Deck to finish a game with friends.

Can confirm that this is happening on my M3 Max 14-inch MacBook Pro. Switching to another app and then back to the game will cause the issue.

Same here. It also happens when I run the game in Parallels on my M1 and M2 MacBook.

A lot of people are having problems on macOS after the latest "hotfix", see this discussion: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1054490/discussions/1/4338733821684414511/

Unfortunately, the game creators don't seem to care.

I used the in-game settings to disable fullscreen mode, but you're right, that seems to fix it in initial experiments. Thanks!

Thank you for the work around until this gets patched!

Where did you find the DefaultPreferences.plist file?

I've been experiencing this issue, as well. Very frustrating as it makes the game virtually impossible to play without force restarting it multiple times.

Hi, we'll be introducing a fix for this issue with the next patch very soon. Sorry it took so long, it was a tricky one to deal with.
