Full board view?

Hi All,

I only played the demo, but so far I am quite disappointed. The fact that you can only view one region on board at a time seems completely unnecessary. When I play the board game IRL, being able to see all boards and all regions is extremely helpful. Is this a feature in the full game? Or would I be stuck only being able to view one region on one board at a time?

Yeah, I agree that the implementation seems awkward (pretty, but cumbersome). I'm sure I'd get used to it in the long run, but it definitely makes things more difficult than they need to be..

I was hoping for a more standard tabletop layout as well. I love the art, animations and voice overs though. Having played upwards of 75 games of the board game, I'm likely a little biased.

This is perhaps the most important part missing from the demo implementation. The gameplay is much slower having to hunt for eggs/ scroll back and forth between regions and click around in navigate through your opponents' game state. the animation and flash is all well and good, but if the digital app doesn't make the game easier to play than the tabletop versions instead of more difficult, then it's missing the mark.

Agreed - not having a full board feature will prevent me from purchasing the full game.

the demo was only available for a few days, though I believe the beta is coming out very very soon!

Have not played the demo but I agree with you all. If its not possible I would also prefer if there was a way to see the whole board at once.

I hope they also adjust the graphics of the avatars, they are cute and funny but graphically a little sneer with the graphic level of the rest of the game.
Especially the graphics of the avatar of Robin the forest guard, in the tutorial, but how much is cringe?

Demo is out and by pressing the TAB key you can visualize the entire board (yours and when switching to opponent(s) side, theirs)

I'm glad you like the change. We're now working to making it interactive so it's easier to for example lay eggs without the need to scroll so much around. :)

Go dual-screen. Main screen will be the game as we currently know it. 2nd screen would be static overhead view of the entire game. If you don't have dual screen it would be easy to switch between views by holding down the space bar to see the overhead view.
