i have been noticing some of this lately and its rather annoying to be honest because cards that would other wise get you ahead in certain situations do nothing. they don't trigger at all. had two round end birds not trigger in my last game. i dont think this happens all that often because i've played many games by now but when it does to me it ruins that current game hopefully they can fix that issue i'd like to buy the expansion but am holding out for now at least it lets you play the expansion birds online even if you dont have it.
I’ve seen several posts complaining about end of round scoring bugs that ARE NOT actually scoring bugs. These posts usually refer to tied situations and it is important to remember that when there is a tie, players are not awarded the total points of that position, they get their share of the sum of that position and the next one(s), rounding down. For instance, in a 3-player game, if 2 players tie in first position in Round 2, they don’t get 5 points each, they will both get 3 points: (5+2)/2=3, the player who finished 3rd will get 1 point.
Still considering the rule mentioned above, is not unusual to get 0 points in tied situations: for instance, if 2 players tie in second position in Round 1, they will both get 0: (1+0)/2=0.
Of course, all that is assuming you are playing using the “Green Side” (competitive) of the Goal Board, which is the default. I don’t remember how or even if these situations are covered in the Tutorial, but you still can refer to the rulebook.
But I did have a tucking game in which a bird with a teal power that would get buggy, the Hooded Crow. If a player had more than 5 cubes on the laying eggs action, (which happened in 2 of the rounds), the game would get a bug and then suddenly show no cubes on that action. When I'd click on the Hooded Crow to activate its power, it would show me the player had laid eggs 11 times (which is impossible), I'd click on that player and then the game would freeze, I wouldn't be able to neither tuck any cards behind the Hooded Crow nor would I be able to proceed with any other end of the round powers (like the Ruff and the Eurasian Collared-Dove). Unfortunately I didn't take screenshots of that.
