Will not run in full screen, Win 8. Help!

It will run in windows 8 but when i do a ingame configuration and try to set it to fullscreen it crashes. When I start the game again it is back to windowed mode.

I'm having the same problem (after solving the GFWL/Win8 issue). Trying to set it in the INI files at the moment.

Potential solution: in steamapps\common\Fable 3\PCVideoOptionsApplet you should find a file called PCVideoOptionsApplet.exe - it seems to allow changing video settings. Going to try running the game now to see if it'll work.

I am having the same issue even when using the PCVideoOptionsApplet.exe. I am setting it to 1920x1080 and full screen but it loads in a window about a quarter of the size of my screen. Would really love for there to be a fix for this...

i had set fable 3, fable 3 launcher and graphics to windows 7 compatibiltiy mode to get it working past the black screen. now thats fixed i un-checked compatibility and it worked. hope this helps

temporary fix, but can you play 1920x1080 windowed? Its close to full screen, maybe then try alt+enter. you turned off all compatibilty options for all the game exe.'s yeah?

It wasn't forcing windowed, but the game would crash if I selected fullscreen. I had also set windows 7 compatibility to the graphics exe (I was desperate, and nothing was working). Once I turned these off I was able to select 1920x1080, then restart the game, then set to full screen. And it didn't crash. YAY!!!

I found a permanent fix if that doesnt work!
Disable Vertical Sync :)

Disabling V-Syinc and enabling Full Screen mode, i had no problems, thanks :D
