Fable III

Fable III

Max Everything --- WHY SO DAMN UGLY?!
I wonder if anyone can tell me why my character is so hideous. '^^ :steamsad:

I have maxed everything. In Fable 2 that's a huge no-no... maybe it is in Fable 3, but somewhat less, but I have an atrocious tattoo I can't get rid of. She's supposed to be fully good, and yet my character has sunken dark eyes... So creepy.

--- Closeup of that horrible tattoo! Her lips are colorless... everything about her screams goth whether or not she wears the goth makeup... yuck! :steamfacepalm:

Your character is good aligned but also highly corrupt. If your character was fully pure her eyes would be brighter and her face tats less jarring. Try being a tad more reasonable with those rents:)

Wow! How sneaky of them! I didn't think Fable 3 was so complicated! I never raised the rents above normal... I even tried changing a couple of villages to no rent whatsoever for a while based on what I read ... but it wasn't related to this pale as heck stuff... I just wanted to get some crests by running through a town when I needed them... just before the final fight, which I'll do when I wake up. (And changed them back to normal rents when it didn't work... I was disappointed and did NOT charge extra!)

I saved up all the gold I needed for no casualties and made no evil choices. I did accidentally scare a few villagers by accidentally using magic when cancelling interaction mode... and one time I walked into a house and a guard came in and fined me... =/ So what to do? Of course I farted in his face and pranced away after paying. Is that corrupt? '^^

I owned the building, I think... Annoying!

Is there any way to reverse this corruption? if I switch the villagers' homes all to no rent in end game, would my ruler become more colorful and prettier?

There was a similar system in Fable II that modified appearance through morality and purity axes. Imo it was better executed there.

If I remember correctly, only neutral characters have tan skin, both extremes will result in pale complexion.

Setting it to no rent and waiting for some time to pass should reverse your character's corruption. You should also avoid eating food which the game considers unhealthy such as meat and beer.

Thank you! I'll let you know if it works today! I mean to end up with a beautiful heroine if it's even possible to achieve!

Other people can probably benefit from knowing if this works since unless this was discussed a long time ago (more than 6 pages back at least, cause I did check that far) it perhaps hasn't ever been talked about on Steam.

Right now, my heroine is to much like Orochimaru (From Naruto). XD

I set the houses to no rent (but didn't set the stores no price...) and waited several hours, and the change is subtle... and yet it's not a pleasant change...

I now have a butterfly tattoo-like mark... and NO EYEBROWS! Perfect purity means looking like a Ghoulish Saintly Purely Good Monarch that everyone loves? EWWWWWW!

I don't think this is salvageable... is there no happy medium? Can't my hero look half-way human? O.o

Full purity brightened the color of her face tattoo and the eyebrows are still there, they're just of lighter shade. Her facial expression, however, didn't change for the better:/

It's been a long time since I played a pure good character. I remember the results being a bit more pleasing.

You would likely be most satisfied with a high purity neutral alignment look.

I believe there is also a wikia page on alignments that you could consult.

To be fair, Medieval European standards of beauty were a lot different than they are now, and Albion is only just entering the Industrial age.

Indeed. Regardless, it's still possible to achieve contemporary beauty standards within the game.

That's good to know! What do you suggest to do to equalize the alignment without feeling evil? XD I prefer to play virtuous characters. (I don't wanna go sowing any seeds of evil in my heart by indulging in casual fictional acts of malice) XD

So the question would really be, what could I do that would get me that alignment without actually being a half-time villain?

Dragging people to work and embezzling from the castle treasury are some of the less vile deeds you could give a go. They don't come close to wanton murder and farting in others' faces, at least in my opinion:)
