I can not instal the game

I have an old physical copy.

I have entered the key code, and the game started the installation.

Eventually it gave an error message saying that a windows file is missing, which should not be a thing as I just made a fresh reinstallation of windows this week.

I tried using the repair function, the progress bar stays stuck at 0%.

Any suggestion?

did you downloaded the new GFWL Patch? Did you check your Antivirus if it blocked something? if still doesn´t work, check your Retail Copy on the Cover if it uses Securom, if yes, try to download the Disc digitaly via torrent or something and then install it with that, but don´t use the crack. Securom can´t be installed on Win10 and may couse problems when tryng to install via Disc.

Thanks. I made a step in the right direction, reinstaling both the game and GFWL worked, but now I'm stuck at the GFWL login... I log with my account, then it tells me to "please wait (forever)" until deciding it's not the right account and that I already used the key. And then telling me to wait even longer to get a chance at trying another account. I had forgotten how annoying the whole thing is. Here's to wonder why the platform was not successful.

Also if you consolidated your Microsoft accounts at some point, even though they let you transfer everything to the new account (gamer tag, etc) they do not transfer gfwl game licenses (and still don't I think..). You may have to use your old gfwl account info to play the game..

Actually the issue looks like GFWL is not connected to the Internet, but I don't believe it's a firewall issue.

I think I had this issue already years ago, and digging a bit I simply created a local profile, everything looks in order now. Thanks everyone :)

i got it installed with windows 10 using the xbox app that comes with windows 10 and i can login gfwl (takes a long time in the beginning) and after i logged in for the first time it will go fast
i have the very first disc that i had when fable 3 first came out

didnt pay attention just watched tv ^^ some say it can take 30 minutes
i know for sure than when you have windows 10 and use the xbox app and you wait till you logged in you can play the game i am playing right now and am in bowerstone industial (wheel of misfortune quest) for the second time after i typed the msg before this 1

Xbox app? I did not try it, though playing with local profile does the trick for me since the multiplayer server is down anyway.

multiplayer server is up i just played with someone else all you have to do is windows 10 and xbox app and add the game with xbox app and than start it from the app and you can play
