i dont think there is a fix unless somone makes a mod. i asked microsoft and they said they dont care and i need to contact the developer wich would be lionhead studios and they dont exista anymore seeing as microsoft bought them out.

Kind of hard to believe since all these people are saying they got the game to work perfectly though.

I know this is necroing, but I do believe I have FINALLY FOUND THE SOLUTION. I encountered the bug when I first ran this game on GFWL (Games for Windows Live) and converted to removing GFWL so I could download the DLCs for the game. The game makes a save for the GFWL version, but doesn't switch when you run it off the version w/ DLC installed. I had to port the DLC save over to the version without GFWL using a Fable save editor. Once I did that and the GFWL version of my saves no longer existed, marriage worked, and the DLCs came in. Somewhere along the way I had corrupted my save partially enough to play it, but not enough to keep the bugs away. If anyone needs further explanation feel free to add me and send me a message. I can explain further
