Is it actually possible to finish the journal?

I feel like the game is broken and there is no way to actually 100% this. Has anyone done it legitimately? How??

Edit to add: I've noticed that ever since I finished all the pups stories I stopped making progression in my journal. Gonna try restarting and finish the journal before doing the stories.

Did it work after you tried again without finishing the dogs stories?

I still got entries after finishing the stories, but I wouldn't be surprised if the game locks you out of certain encounters.
Tried a few runs after completing the stories and I can't seem to get the wolf on the side of the road encounter anymore.

My Journal is 99% complete (only miss the second fox encounter where it fails), so I think I know a surefire way you can get that encounter.

Do not put Barkley, Igloo and Bodega in your dog team when you go out on a training run. That should trigger the enounter. Having any of those in your team 3 will prevent it from happening.

That sounds good, thank you! I'd would be appreciated if you would share your journal if you manage to complete it as well. I haven't seen anyone finish it here and a lot believe it isn't possible to do it.

squirrel line 4
porcupine line 2
rabbit line 2
moose lines 3 & 5

Do you mind sharing the journal entries for those of us who don't have them?

Still working on the fox encounter, but I did enounter it now 6 times, but had bad RNG sadly, it was always sucessfull with its hunt.

I've only had the second fox encounter and I had Barkley in my team.

Hey! I know it's been a while since this post, but I'm just wondering. Did you ever get around to fully completing your journal? I still haven't found out if it's actually possible... I know there's a lot of players struggling with the same thing.

Hello! does anyone know if it is truly broken or a specific issue? i feel like im not getting updates on the journal despise getting those encounters, i saw the fox succeed in a hunt, yet i got nothing in my journal, same with avoiding getting hit by the beaver tree, other than that i should be marked that i have pet all the dogs, something i had to do, of course its my duty, but nothing, i fear that Finn is the issue? i think she is bugged for me, i managed to finish his story just as i reached the cabin, and that for some reason didnt count to petting her? i haven't been able to pet her since (other than at the cabin) and sometimes randomly i get the freezing dialogue of giving her my hat, but she isnt in the team.


i have been having so much fun with red lantern, is just this final stretch that feels like im asking more of the game than i should...
