Dog Death

((Ignore me not owning the game on steam, I first got it on Epic Games. I am asking on here bc it's the best place to ask.)) I have never seen a dog die in game. What does the player really have to do to let the dog die? ((Not like I am going to go and try this...maybe)) Will not giving the dog medical treatment cause it to slowly die? Thanks to anyone who answers this!

I have only encountered Barkleys death on my switch copy of the game, and it was like a bad ending to his story. The last moose encounter will happen even if you don´t teach him how to use his voice, and depending on what you choose either he or you will die. His death can not happen however if you already reached the cabin with him in your party, the screen will cut to black after the moose run in to the sled. I how and if the other dogs can die

So he can only die on his first run?
I have gotten all the dogs to the cabin.

Seems like it, probably because if you got to the cabin after he died he won´t be available anymore

At least one can.
