Having poked at this for a few days to try and get the gold dragon in ITRTG, I've noticed that it could really use some quality of life improvements. In addition to my previous thread, here's a few that come to mind:

1. Ways to unlock some fairies without the magic tokens. The description on the tokens implies that this was meant to be a thing, and it would be in line with IRTRG.

2. During the tutorial several pop ups showed up to explain the mechanics, but ironically the tutorial fairy covered them up so I couldn't read them. It takes some digging to find them again.

3. Popups disappear really fast, and there doesn't seem to be an option for adjusting their speed.

4. Weight doesn't have a mouse over. It took me forever to find the tutorial that explained what it was. (Click the '?' button in the create recipe screen, in case anyone else was wondering.

5. The 'auto create recipe' function is a bit of a newbie trap, because it doesn't take combos (or anything, really) into account. Instead it just seems to mash random things together, and relying on it will lose you cooking battles. Also, the game makes it out like combos don't really matter, but I learned in the Fun District that this is a lie. A 20 point difference requires a ton of research to counter.

Side note: It does serve as a good way to cheat out a curry recipe before you're able to legitimately make one, though. I'm sure my fairies were very happy with my salt and pepper curry, since they kept asking for it. >:(

6. Manually making recipes is a pain. You can only see what ingredients combo with each other when you're in the 'add ingredient' screen, which you can't access if your at max ingredients. It's not a problem now that I know how to play, but starting out this was cumbersome.

7. More clothing options for female characters. I know that guys are the target demographic for video games, but I feel most of the clothing options here would work better in an adult title. (And for the record, I rewrote this one about 8 time to keep it from sounding prudish or harsh.)

Edit: Also, you suffer major penalties if you have more than 13 recipes, unless you're willing to spend cooking medals. The game is happy to tell you that you can have up to 100 recipes, but it really needs to warn you of the consequences of going above your cap.

Edit2: The defend button is either not 100% effective, borked, or ill explained. I assume by the interface that if the green bar is showing then I'm shielded, but sometimes the attacks get through regardless. I can't tell if this is due to lag, a misunderstanding of how it works, or a bug because there's no feedback on why I got hit despite hitting the button.

Edit3: And while we're at it, how about an achievement for making the Home district into a nice place to live? Always remember where you came from and don't forget the friends you left behind.

Edit4, A New Edit: Could you also add some hotkeys for the cooking battles, like the fights in IRTRG have? Not every can easily use a mouse, so accessibility is good.

Edit5, The Edits Strike Back: The 'popularity' rating in the 'Create recipe' (including editing them) gives false information. Clicking the 'info' tab (in the upper right) on a finished recipe will show the real number. This makes it really hard to make a good recipe.
