Change your video settings to make sure game is in windowed mode. Makes no sense to me, but my game was glitchy as ever until i changed my game mode to windowed, and then just enlarged it (resized) for the entire screen i use it on. Afterwards, 0 jitters, 0 laggyness, kinda weird considering im using a Nvidia Geforce 680M Graphics card, and thats pretty good considering i use the GeForce Experience to keep up on automated updates for my display drivers updates
And *supernet2*, the reason it still didn't work for you is because the PhysX drivers we have been having to load aren't your normal ones, they are Legacy Drivers, meaning they use an old code or architecture that they don't use now, and obviously this game (being from 2008) uses older code.
Yeah it makes sense, but what doesn't make sense is why it works fine, like all games i have issues with will work on windows 7 home premium 64bit where as they wont work on windows 7 professional 64bit.
Or Vice Versa
Anyway, there's a newer version of the Legacy driver and it's stated 5 games only:
