Completely stuck near junk mail.

The map puts a footprints icon at the island just to the south of Junk Mail, and I'm absolutely baffled as to how to solve it. It seems so impossible I think I must be missing something obvious. It would be easy if I could drop a log in the water next to the middle tree, push it right, then up, then right, but there's no way to do that, at least that I can see. How do I do this?

It's very easy, but like you, I stumbled on this one hard.

1: The northern tree really acts only as a bridge to the west
2: The southern tree is the one that eventually leads to the eastern island
3. The middle tree is for getting the southern tree there
4: The middle tree has to be somewhere in the water
5: The middle tree needs to be southeast of the southern tree, in the water

Yep, you were right, it was easy. The option of jumping from the one log to the other had not even crossed my mind! Thank you very much.

I actually finished the game since I posted this thread, but since this puzzle had a footprint icon on it I thought it was the one I needed to do to progress. Turns out I missed a raft ride somewhere else.
