Game running really slowly?

I unlocked the FPS and everything. Is my computer just not good enough? I can't imagine this being that resource intensive of a game.

Same, but it only happens occasionally for me, which most of the time means that it has some performance issues of a sort, hopefully they would fix it, even though I dont mind slowdowns time to time, but if yours is permanently very slow, then it might be something on your end.

Your controller might be the reason. I have a dualshock 4 controller and a third-party PS4 controller (made by HORI). Game speed drop significantly every time I connect the HORI
controller.

I figured it out for me. Game was running really slow like you said, so I started up 'Big Picture', went to the game then controller configuration, turns out 'Generic Gamepad' or 'Xbox Configuration Support' (depends on controller I guess) wasn't selected. I ticked both just in case. Game runs much faster now.
-Full Screen, full resolution
-Frame Rate Lock Off
-I even started the game with my Logitech plugged in, no troubles there.

Also you don't have to go through 'Big Picture' to adjust settings. Can go steam settings 'Controller' then ' General Controller Settings'.

Hope that fixes your problem

It might be late, but thanks anyway. I thought that this game had proper controller support and apparently it doesnt, thanks steam for adding controller support, also I should keep it turned on all the time, fixed more issues then I expected for multiple games.
