Exploding Red Orbs?

How are these triggered and what can I do to stop them?

I can just try and figure it out. But is there anything that specifically triggers it?

It triggers randomly when you clear a room of enemies. There are many other random events like this one and you deal with them in a similar fashion.

Thanks so much, I'm really enjoying your game! If there's one gripe I have though its that the collision in the skill tree game should be fixed a little. If I am under an enemy that is one box to the right of me, if I jump and match its vertical position I die. Maybe you could arrange the hitboxes a little?
