Soul Pet's "Soul Cost Amount"?
Hey, I just recently got the Soul Pet, but seeing this power-up "-10% Soul Cost Amount" makes me worried that there's a mechanic for the Soul Pet I'm not understanding. Does it need 'souls' to make it do its functions?

Yes. It gets one soul for every enemy kill. Different pet skills have different soul costs.
