Controllers?

So you need an Xbox controller to play this? I can't use my Index controllers?

You can. Your in game avatar will look like it has a ps4 controller but irl you will just hold your index controllers close together, it works fine.

Hm, haven't gotten it to work so far. I can't even select anything in the menu to start the game. But if it is confirmed to work with the Index controllers I am obviously missing something.

To be honest I'm playing with rift s controllers, but there are Index controllers depicted in the options menu so they must be supported..

Hm, strange the controls don't seem to be working properly. Some of them do, but then in the menu it shows to use the left joystick for movement but nothing happens when I try to move.

Might need to get a refund.

Probably a good idea to refund then.. most psvr ports seem to suck like that. Robinson is another one that's almost unplayable.

Did you try running it in both steam vr mode and OSVR mode?

SteamVR runs automatically in the background and I don't know what OSVR is. Either way, it's a moot point now. I received a refund. I might rebuy once this gets fixed. If it gets fixed.

When you press play in steam a pop up comes up asking if you want to just run the game, run it in steam vr mode, oculus vr mode or OSVR mode, maybe you have to choose the steam vr mode for index controllers to work properly. It's too late now, but if you ever rebuy it, on sale maybe, maybe try different modes. The game itself is surprisingly fun to play and totally hilarious.

I did not know that could even be toggled. Whenever I start up a VR game, SteamVR comes on automatically. I just assumed there is no other way to play VR games without SteamVR running in the background. I never receive a pop-up. Maybe that pop-up only comes up when using non-Index/ non-Vive VR headsets? I used the Vive prior to the Index and never had such a pop-up come up on the Vive either.

This pop up is specifically for this game, never saw it before when launching other games either. Weird that it didn't appear for you.. It would be intereting to know if it does for other Index users.
