Need help to online play

I try getting online, yet nobody appears. ive made my own games and nobody appears.

Also when i make a game, i get a red watch looking thing by my name. any clue of what it is?

any help would be appriciated.

Hey guys, sorry for slow a reply again. I believe I have the answer. Well, it sounds like to me that there is no one on at the time you search for matches. Im not totally suprised by this, because most people have moved on to Shogun 2 or still play Rome TW or Medieval 2 TW. Empire was very buggy on first release, so it made many people leave it. For as I though, I dont really play multiplayer much, because I enjoy playing Grand Campaign and stuff on hard difficulty. Now that doesnt mean no one is still on. They do host matches fairly enough over the weekend if you have time to check, and some are just local matches as well, not online. So you may be out of luck for your problem, but Im pretty sure you will find someone. Now I would play online, but I have a problem as well with muliplayer, but not the same thing. Its not reading my steam when Im signed in and saying connect to steam, but it wont. So you wont be able to play with me until I get this fixed. Untill then, I just recomment trying to get contact with people who play mulitiplayer. Its a great game, expecially now since the latest patch. 1.6 or 1.5 on game menu.

The following is a remark to a question on Yahoo a while back. This dude explains how Empire Total war multiplayer works, but my point is that he says no one really plays anymore.

thinks for all this information but i am french a little undestend english when i go to online menu in empire total war they are loading... found player but one minute later it say unknown error

Sorry I cant speak French, but I recommend if what i provided didnt work, research that error, or post it online so I can see. thanks
