Help with darthmod

I went to the TW site to download the darthmod for empire total war, however i cannot open it after it downloads it asks what application should i use to open it and none of them do anything. Do i need some vanilla program and if so which one? I would appreciate any links and suggestions

damn i forgot how i did mine, check the instructions again on the darthmod site, its really worth it.

You need to download 3 files in order to install Darthmod.

Before you download these files:
1. Create a folder on the desktop and call it "Darthmod Empire".
2. Download the following files into your "Darthmod Empire" folder on your desktop (the 3 files need to be in the same location).

- DarthMod_Empire_v8.0_Platinum (exe Application)

-DarthMod_Empire_v8.0_Platinum.2 (2 File)

- DarthMod_Empire_v8.0.1_Patch_Platinum_Final (exe Application)
http://www.moddb.com/mods/darthmod-empire/downloads/darthmod-empire-v80-platinum-patch

Once you are done downloading the files;
1. Run DarthMod_Empire_v8.0_Platinum application and follow the instructions
2. Then proceed to run DarthMod_Empire_v8.0.1_Patch_Platinum_Final

You don't need to touch "DarthMod_Empire_v8.0_Platinum.2" because it isn't an Application because it simply is an extension file to DarthMod_Empire_v8.0_Platinum.

This is how I downloaded the Mod and it works.

thank you i will try and do it the way you suggested. I forgot about the patch part downloading that maybe thats why it wasnt working

ive ran into another problem when i try to unzip the second part it says there was a error and could not extract some decompressed files. any ideas?

you need WinRar to open it
Extract the file into your Darthmod folder which contains DarthMod_Empire_v8.0_Platinum.

okay i will try to unzip it using winRAR instead of Winzip. When i tried using winzip it only extracted part of the files and said there was an error

well that doesnt seem to be working either its saying file is corrupted and shutdowns the extraction.

Really? Wtf...

I just extracted the file to my desktop and it worked. Do that and then drag the file into your Darthmod folder.

i just tried and nothing. I appreciate your patience but could you go over step my step exactly what youre doing to extract the file just in case i may be doing something wrong

I downloaded the file from the link I posted above in my downloads folder.

I opened the zip file and by default, its opened with WinRar.

I select DarthMod_Empire_v8.0_Platinum.2 and then click on "Extract to" and extract the file into my Darthmod Folder on my desktop.

Wtf thats exactly what i did D: step by step thats what i did but still would only download partial file only not full
