The game is easy enough to win without mods or cheats for faster research and building. :D If you do the Road to Independence Tutorial, you'll learn how to win. You can do it without those types of mods or cheats! :D

Didnt even know TW had cheats after Medieval II lol. I'm sure they all do, but just go with a Mod. and the only mod you need is Total Factions. DarthMod and everything else is really overrated. Total Factions is your best bet or if you're looking to completely overhaul do DarthMod or I recommend Terra Incognita: A Proper Empire (think that's the name).

Also, If you have any other questions about ETW you can ask me or a master of the game that i know named Kumelowski. He has better advice, but in this case he'd give you the same info.

I just finished a campaign im not too keen on waiting 20 turns for technology anymore haha

I found it easy to get plenty of technology: by building more schools, by upgrading schools, and by focussing on the pink technologies (which increase research rates).
