I've never heard of cheats for any newer total war game. i know there used to be some for Rome and Medieval II...but it completely destroys the point of even playing the game. Good mods? just Total Factions to get all the factions. Darth Mod is way overrated. any overhaul isnt as good as the Vanilla really.

Vanilla all the way. Just look at the forums. 90% of all posts relating to people's games not functioning are related to them downloading overhauls. Additionally, the overhauls themselves are nothing amazing. Empire: Total Factions is indeed really good so I'd recommend it.

Vanilla is great and all. However, mods lengthen the life of any game.

Plenty of cheats mate, but do you really need to use them? Just type ''empire total war cheats'' in google. As for mods try totalwar site.

heh. not this one. All the Darth Mods and everything else basicaly ruins it. Look at Kumelowski + my hours on Empire. For me, maybe about 5-10% of that time i used a mod. The only mod i ever use is Total Factions just because you can play as any country. Mods end up complicating the game or just ruining it's original charm. But if you enjoy them, more power to you. I think people just need to start appreciating the vanilla game because...well...that's what it's suppose to be. Rome II and up..i guess it's ok if you want to taylor it to your liking. it's too huge of a game to not fix a few things to your specs.

No offense intended at all, but how old are you? Looks like you just started on Steam?? I stopped using cheats after I was done with PS2. When xbox 360 came out. idk why lol

That said, if you are going to use mods, Pack File Manager is the ultimate in customization.

I concur.

While I'll say that playing the game fairly is extremely rewarding, saying that there are no cheats is a lie lol... I used a program called Cheat Engine before just to see how much I could conquer without any fear of economic failure. With Cheat Engine you could have unlimited money. But as far as like in-game cheats, sorry but you're out of luck on that one.

I would never play Empire unmodded, Its just too bland to me and mods like Darthmod add flavour, the problem isnt the mods, its the mistakes people make installing them.

Deserves at least 1 playthrough as vanila i.e the way it was meant to be experienced, before using any sort of mods IMo...

Oh yes I did all that when I first got the game, and don't get me wrong, Vanilla is nice, but modded is better and nowadays i'd always play it modded.
