The Cheat Console wont come up as per online forums

Don't judge, Im a bit stuck and need more money to destroy the French nobs...
There is cheats available for more money but the "§" or "`" key does not let the cheat console appear to type cheats.

Please help.

Empire doesn't have a built in debug/cheat console.

You can use Cheat Engine or the Pack File Manager tools to add money, there should be some tutorials on YouTube for both.

I managed to find saved files in a ziped folder within the game's documents.The saved files starts in diffrent campaigns with loads of money. But no other cheat solution found.
Happy to share details with anyone interested.
