Tips for Prussia?
Hey, I just started a Prussian campaign not too long ago. I'm playing on both difficulties set to medium, and I'm working on a long campaign. I've only played as larger colonial powers like the English, Dutch, French, and Spanish. Since I've never played as a state like Prussia, I was wondering if you guys maybe have some tips for me? Thanks a lot. I appreciate it.

Recruit army! A lot of army! Destroy Austrian and Poland Empire and then use all your money to your industry! Upgrade all buildings and get your army ready to start invasion in Germany. Try not to have war with any other country except Poland and Austria at the beginning. By saying invasion in Germany, i mean Bavaria Saxony, Westphalia, Hannover and all that states. If you want to build a great Germany, you may want to let your people do revolution in Berlin and go with them. Then your empire will have republic and the today germany's flag!

You will want to build an army pretty quickly, since Austria and/or Poland will almost certainly declare war on you within a few turns. The good thing is, they almost always go to war with each other as well, so you can play them off of each other until you see a good opportunity to go on the offensive. When fighting Poland, take West Prussia quickly so you can connect East Prussia to your capital. I would avoid taking Warsaw until you have a pretty strong army, though, since they tend to spawn some pretty nasty rebels. And since Poland has a protectorate with Saxony, if Poland declares war on you, Saxony will as well, so you can snatch them up at the same time. Alternatively, if you want to go to war with Poland, you can declare on Saxony, which will bring Poland into the war, but not any of Poland's allies.

The start of Prussia's campaign can be a little daunting, but once you get going it's an absolute blast. I've probably put around 100 hours into playing Prussia and it's still my favorite nation to play. Good luck!

Well the problems is that Poland may become allie with Austria. This happend to me before one week. Then things are difficult! Try to have as many as possible soldiers you can but try not to bancrupt and be ready to replace any casualty frome enemy attacks because my problem was that i didn't have enough money! Well i was playing on hard. Battles and Campaigne too. At the first round, Polland may accept your offer and become your allie. Then austria, Saxony and the rest Germany will be yours. But then you will have to betray your friend! I dont like doing that! Also, United Kingdom had war with me with no reason. I was giving them all my technologies for peace but nothing. Every 5 round i had to kill british soldiers that were attacking to Berlin!

You don't need navy for the first 50 rounds or more. Then you may have the money to build one good fleet! But you need soldiers not fleet!

Try have the best millitary technology and then industry. Fight all battles. Don't let AI fight for you with auto fight. You will have more casaulties and every penny is necessary.

Also, after taking all cities you want and you can't afford more war, then you can attack to Warsawo or Vienna and take them. Then give the capital back to your enemy and ask peace at the same time! Most of times they will accept. You will have a peaceful period to make your army better and attack AGAIN. The war never ends with Prussia. Kill all your enemies or lose. It is just like the World war 1.

Probably the best faction if you want total war!
definitely the best faction in Empire Total War, his army is the most powerful, I think I just lost a battle playing with them and take from Morocco to Russia, I defeat all: Spain, France, United Provinces, Westphalia, Hanover, Savoy, United Italians, Venice, Genoa, Ausria, Poland, Courland, Russia and the British Empire. Then I went to take their provinces in America and Pirates.
Do not declare war on Sweden, the Ottoman Empire, and the Confederation Marata because they were my allies.
Go ahead fearlessly with Prussia.

If you declare war on Poland on the first turn, won't Austria not ally Poland because they don't want a war with you?

NEVER go to war with sweden or Denmark, If you go to war with one of those you have England or France RIGHT in front of you, and they will destroy you. NEVER invade The Netherlands, rebellion, rebellion and rebellion. ALLWAYS go to France through the nothsern and the western side (If you ally England, otherwise go to France from the South, NEVER from east, then you fu** with Savoy and Genoa, and those two are good trading countryes.. Maby set a bit on a Baltic Sea navy.. to make sure that Scandic countries dont attack and siege you ports.. My pleasure to help. :)

lol. A blast from the past.

Good strategy though, as long as the France CPU doesn't become Napoleon and the British stay friendly.

Don't bother with trade

Kick Poland

Kick Austria

Kick petty German states

Research Fire By Rank ASAP (seriously, you can get it by 1713 while most major factions only get it at like, 1720-1730)

Make German Strong Again

Kick French

Kick Russians

Kick Italians

Kick Dutchies

Kick Danish

Kick everything that isn't Prussian Blue

When Europe is beautiful Prussia

Maybe make America new beautiful Prussia Colony

Maybe make India new beautiful Prussia Colony

Kick English

Kick Kebab

Kick Berbers

Kick Native Americans

Kick Pirates

Get Revolution cuz enlightenment

Kick Revolution cuz Viva La King/Kick King cuz Viva la Revolucion[Optional offcourse]

Kick Revolution cuz Viva La King [Optional offcourse]

Greatest strenght for Prussia lies in the strong economy they can get through the acquisition of the German states and their schools. You could choose to keep your king in power and abuse the heck out of him or you could opt for a transition of government. Advisable, obviously, in the early stages of the game.

Don't bother with Republic cuz government is useless under Republic and the bonusses aren't worth it. So, always go for Constitutional Monarchy.

This'll ensure that 90% of the regions you capture are pacified in like, 1-2 turns, even Capital regions, simply because there's no Lower Class, and it'll allow you to keep momentum as you expand.
This'll also allow you to keep installing new ministers (though you can't choose replacement and only do one per turn) but they should be there until death, unless you somehow f*ck up and get your government ratings below 50%.

Trade is simply extra cash but unlike other nations, don't rely on it cuz your ports will most likely be blockaded most of the time.

Also, show no mercy to the Austrians, show no mercy to the Polaks and above all, show no mercy to the Franks. After all, they're just target practice for your Glorious Armee.
